Commonwealth Shared Scholarships

CSFP endowment fund offers Commonwealth Scholarships at Central University of Technology, Durban University of Technology, Tshwane University of Technology, University of Johannesburg, University of Pretoria and University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. Student must be citizens of any Commonwealth country except South Africa and must hold a first degree of upper second class Honors standard in relevant discipline. The scholarship is for one or two year Master’s degree programme. Applications should be sent online. 

About Scholarship: Scholarships are provided to study any subject offered by the universities, except for the Central south Africa University of Technology, where priority will be given to applicants in Tourism and/or Hospitality Management, Education, Biomedical Technology, Engineering and ICT. Scholarships are awarded for a one or two-year Master’s degree programme in any subject offered by the universities, except for the Central University of Technology, where priority will be given to applicants. 5 Commonwealth Scholarships are available. Applications should be submitted to national nominating agencies in the first instance.  

Study: Scholarships are provided to study any subject offered by the universities, except for the Central University of Technology, where priority will be given to applicants in Tourism and/or Hospitality Management, Education, Biomedical Technology, Engineering and ICT.

Eligibility: Applicants should:

-Be citizens of any Commonwealth country except South Africa

-Hold a first degree of upper second class Honors standard (or above) in a discipline relevant to that in which study is proposed 

Scholarship Open for: The students of Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Botswana, Brunei, Cameroon, Canada, Cyprus, Dominica, Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nauru, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Island, Sri Lanka, Swaziland, Tanzania, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Uganda, United Kingdom, Vanuatu, Zambia ,Cameroon except South Africa can apply for this scholarship.

Number of awards: 5

Duration: Scholarships are offered for one or two-year Master’s degree programme. 

Apply: Application form should be submitted to national nominating agencies in the first instance by post or electronically. Successful candidates will be required to complete an application form for the proposed university of study in addition to their scholarship application.
