The International Summer School (ISS) offers Scholarships for the Applicants from Caucasus or the Balkans, Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, USA or Canada and NORAD Countries to Pursue Undergraduate and Postgraduate Program at University of Oslo in Norway 2013-2014

Eligibility:

Who can apply for scholarships to Bachelor’s courses?

-Applicants who study Scandinavian Studies at their home university

-Applicants from the Caucasus or the Balkans

-Applicants from the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe

-Applicants from the USA or Canada (mostly partial scholarships)

-Applicants who can demonstrate a specific need to study in Norway

Who can apply for scholarships to Master’s courses?

-Applicants from developing countries (particularly for NORAD countries)

-Applicants from the Caucasus or the Balkans

-Applicants from the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe

-Applicants from the USA or Canada (mostly partial scholarships)

-Applicants who can demonstrate a specific need to study in Norway. 

Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: The students developing countries (particularly for NORAD countries) and Caucasus region(Azerbaijan, Armenia or Georgia) or the former Yugoslavia (Kosovo, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro; excluding Slovenia), Soviet Union and Eastern Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria), USA and Canada can apply for this scholarship. 

Scholarship Description: The International Summer School (ISS) has a wide variety of full and partial scholarships, but the competition for scholarships is tough. 

Value: Scholarships may cover

- Travel costs

- The basic on-campus or off-campus fee

- Extra course fees

- Pocket money (NOK 3000). 

Selection Criteria: To be a successful ISS scholarship recipient, you must demonstrate:

- That your academic background is related to the course you apply for

- That your professional background or goals are related to the course apply for

- Your financial need

- Your personal qualities that make you a good representative of your country. 

Notification: If you sent your application by 1 February, then your application result will be announced by 15 April by e-mail.
