University for Peace (UPEACE) offers Peace Builders Fellowships for Master’s Students from Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, West Asia and South Asia in Costa Rica 2013-2014
About Scholarship: The United Nations mandated University for Peace (UPEACE) announces the Peace Builders Fellowship for the academic year 2013-2014. This fellowship has been created to bring opportunities to young professionals who have an interest and commitment to peace, international cooperation, and conflict resolution. Given the global economic situation and the fact that peace cannot wait, UPEACE will meet students from specific regions half-way by providing 50% scholarship.

Cover: The scholarship will cover 50% tuition fees of the program.
Eligibility:
-Fulfill general UPEACE admissions requirements (good academic standing, English Proficiency, among others)
-Commitment to finance 50% of the tuition and other expenses
-Applicants must be fluent in English, both spoken and written. English Proficiency Score reports such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Test (IELTS) are required for applicants whose native language is not English.
Scholarship Open for International Students: Students of Latin America and the Caribbean Africa; West Asia (Lebanon, Palestine, Israel, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Afghanistan); South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives) can apply for this scholarship.
Other Benefits: Also, UPEACE offers special conditions to its students for continuing their studies in the Doctoral Programme in Peace and Conflict Studies.
