Applications are invited from Indian citizens for admission to the Ph.D. programmes for the session commencing from December 2012. Financial aid (Assistantship/Scholarship) is available to the M.Tech., Ph.D. and M.Sc.-Ph.D. (Dual degree) Programmes. Student is expected to carry out the assigned duties for teaching and Research Assistantship.
Scholarship details:
The M.Tech. Student currently carries a monthly stipend of Rs.8, 000/- for 8 hours of work per week. For Ph.D. students the corresponding financial assistance is Rs.18, 000/- (for engineering) and Rs.16, 000/- (for Sciences/Social Sciences) for the first two years and there after its is raised to 20,000/- and 18,000/- respectively for another two years. A 50% tuition fee
waiver for M.Sc.-PhD. (Dual degree) students is also available after the first semester.
Eligibility criteria:
Ph.D.: (Engineering) M.Tech./M.E./M.Sc.(Engg.) degree in the respective or allied area. The candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Master’s degree in Sciences in an allied area with exceptional academic record and possessing a valid GATE score may also apply. For Ph.D. in BSBE, candidates with MBBS, B.Pharma or M. Pharma Degree may also apply. Candidates with Master’s degree in Management may apply for Ph.D. in Industrial and Management Engineering (IME).
Ph.D. (Sciences & HSS)
M.Sc./M.A. degree in respective or allied area with a valid GATE/UGC/CSIR score.
