About Scholarship: The project will address building resilience in Bangladesh through three groups of activities: expanding knowledge through research, building capacity through a South-North and North-South training program, and translating learning and new capacities into action that will benefit communities affected by climate variability and exposed to longer-term climate change.

Eligibility:
-PhD or Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, Geography, Economics, Environmental Science, or other relevant fields with an emphasis on Disaster Risk Management, Adaptation to Climate Change, Resilience;
-Minimum of five (5) years of internationally recognized scientific working experience related to climate impacts and adaptation, and/or risk management;
-Demonstrated skills in use of social science and other relevant scientific methods to research adaptation-related questions (mixed methods approaches).
-Experience using participatory research approaches, quantitative research (modelling, mapping, surveys, data analysis and management);
-Excellent communication skills with fluency in oral and written English; -Strong ability to carry out work independently and in an international team;
-Proven background and strong skills in managing projects in multicultural surrounding, preferably related to climate change impacts, resilience, early warning systems for weather-related risks, flood risk management, community based adaptation;
-Knowledge in networking and collaborative projects and research;
-Good team player with strong interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to work well in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity;
-Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office), statistical packages (SPSS, etc.) and GIS.
