University of Sydney offers PhD Scholarship in Carbon Capture at the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering in Australia 2012
About Scholarship: A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably qualified candidate with a good honours degree in science or engineering to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. The project is to investigate the optimal design and operation of post-combustion carbon capture technologies aiming to synthesise and techno-economically evaluate highly-integrated processes for clean coal power generation with low emissions of CO2. It will form part of continuing research in Carbon Capture in the Laboratory for Multiscale Systems at the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and is in collaboration with industry and major external research institutions locally and overseas.

-A bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent with first class honours or equivalent results
-Excellent mathematical modelling and computational skills

Duration: Three years
Value: $33,000 per annum
