About Scholarship: The successful candidate shall use molecular markers for mapping of genes/QTLs introgressed from wild species.
Roles and responsibilities
- Responsible for molecular analysis of mapping populations derived from wide crosses of rice and characterization of alien cytogenetic stocks
- Create data base of molecular profile for alien introgression lines
- Assist in using genomic DNA and other probes in in-situ hybridization
- Perform all other duties that may be assigned related to varietal improvement program
