Scholarship Description: This PhD fellowship is available at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and its main objective is set to investigate nano-particles and organic micro pollutants during soil passage (riverbank filtration). The high number of pharmaceuticals and the wide variety of biodegradation and speciation processes characteristic to these compounds require understanding how these compounds behave during natural water treatment such as riverbank filtration.
