The Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) launched the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Scholarship to help academically brilliant students for Higher Studies. This is a public sector undertaking under the sponsorship of the Indian Government.
The Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited grants these scholarships to students who possess exceptional merit for their higher studies. This is done so that the students will have a motivation to continue their studies further. The scholarship is given to Indian students who seek to pursue their postgraduate courses in India or overseas.
Eligibility:
* Candidates who seek these scholarships must not be above 25 years of age at the time of applying.
* The candidates should have attained a minimum score of 60% at the Bachelors level.
* Only those candidates who have registered in a permanent postgraduate degree courses are suitable to apply for this scholarship.
* However, candidates who are doing their post graduation in fine arts will not be considered eligible to submit an application for the scholarships.
Criterion: Candidates who seek to apply for the scholarship are required to have a valid email address. The candidates also must have cleared the entire necessary standardized test like TOEFL, GMAT, IELTS or GRE. Candidates who have taken the CAT/ GATE exams can also submit an application.
Value and Duration: The time period of the scholarship is 2 years. Once a candidate is granted this scholarship, he/she will get as much as Rs. 1.5 lakh a year. The amount of the financial assistance will be decided upon the case status of the students and it depends entirely on the judgment of BPCL.
Application Form & Fee: Students who are interested to apply for the National Talent Search Examination can contact the UT or the State Liaison officer as to obtain the application. The students also have an option to download the application from the authorized website of the NCERT. All communication concerning the application is supposed to be addressed to the State Liaison Officers. The students must also remember to get the form signed by the head of the school they are studying at.
Apart from the pre-qualification form, the application is separated into 7 forms. The candidates will have to sequentially submit every one of the forms. After finishing the forms, the candidate will get a confirmation screen. This will have an option to go back and edit or redo the information filled. The candidates are recommended to download as well as take a print of the scholarship application. They must first fill the form offline and then proceed to complete the application online. This method will ensure that the application is finished in all respects.
The application for the BPCL Scholarships are obtainable online twice annually, i.e, in the months of May and September. Those applications that are received past the due dates will not be considered. The candidates need not send any documents alongside the application. Only those candidates who are called in for the interview will be asked to present these documents.
