Eligibility: Applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents or New Zealand citizens holding a Special Category Visa.
* Applicants who have applied for, but not yet been granted permanent residency or a Special Category Visa, may apply for the award.
* Evidence of the appropriate status must be provided before the start of the award.
* Research funded by the Fellowship must be conducted in an Australian Institution.

Scholarship Description: This Fellowship is particularly targeted at outstanding young researchers currently based overseas and who wish to return to Australia to develop independent research programs, although outstanding candidates already based in Australia will be eligible. Researchers who are currently working within Australia will be expected to have spent less than two years in their current institution if they plan to apply for this Fellowship in the same location.
