Eligibility:
* Applicants must have a PhD in Economics with strong empirical research skills and be able to demonstrate their ability to conduct high quality applied economic research, leading to scholarly publication.
* The successful applicant will be required to communicate research results, including the preparation of reports and research summaries, as well as publications in high quality scholarly journals.
* They will be required to work effectively with project team members.
Scholarship Description: Applications are invited for appointment to the position of Post Doctoral Research Fellow in Financial Econometrics, to commence as soon as possible in 2012. The appointment will be for a fixed-term of 2 years from the date of commencement and is based in Hobart. The School of Economics and Finance employs a number of researchers specialising in financial econometrics and empirical finance. We have vacancy for a post-doctoral researcher to work with Professor Mardi Dungey on the financial econometrics of financial crises. The project aims to advance our detection and measurement of financial crises using high frequency financial econometrics
